What Is The ‘M’ Technique®?
The ‘M’ Technique® is a gentle, structured method of touch designed to promote deep relaxation and a sense of comfort for individuals experiencing stress, chronic pain, illness, or emotional vulnerability.
Unlike massage, the ‘M’ Technique® uses a slow, repetitive sequence of simple movements, always delivered with respectful and caring presence. It is especially well-suited for people who may be medically fragile, elderly, anxious, or unable to tolerate traditional massage.
This evidence-based technique helps calm the nervous system, reduce agitation, and foster a sense of safety and connection. Because it follows a consistent and predictable pattern, many recipients find it deeply reassuring and easy to receive.
The ‘M’ Technique® is used worldwide by healthcare professionals, caregivers, and trained practitioners in various settings, including hospitals, hospices, long-term care facilities, and private homes.
